DRUG & ALCOHOL ABUSE POLICY

Tom Ryan Concrete views the abuse of alcohol and drugs in a serious manner, especially if the implications of such abuse affect an employee’s job performance. Such abuse is viewed in a serious light as its consequences can be an unsafe working environment for the employee and co worker.

All Tom Ryan Concrete staff are aware of the implications of the abuse of alcohol or drugs while on duty, from the outset of their employment with the company. Tom Ryan Concrete view the following two acts as dismissible offences:

• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs in a company vehicle
• Consumption of alcohol or drugs (illegal) while on duty.

Tom Ryan Concrete affirms that all such matters of alcohol or drug use abuse and the implications for staff will be dealt with in a discreet and professional manner.
