Tom Ryan Concrete, in conjunction with all employees, is committed to continuous improvement in pursuit of the highest possible health and safety standards in all workplace activities.

OUR PLANNING, METHODS & SYSTEMS

Management has the responsibility to ensure a safe & healthy working environment through the provision of safe systems, relevant policy and effective supervision.  It is also the responsibility of every employee and contractor to work safely and to promote, monitor and improve Occupational Health & Safety.

All Tom Ryan Concrete, staff will comply with current Legislation, Regulations and codes of Practice, business rules and processes as a minimum standard in the pursuit of best practice.

We are committed to pursuing an injury free work environment. Reporting & investigation of all near misses, incidents and accidents will assist in the implementation of continual improvements in our Occupational Health and Safety processes and systems of work.

All employees have an obligation to carry out their responsibilities and accountabilities as outlined in their position descriptions. Both employees and contractors are responsible for the reporting of all incidents as per the Tom Ryan Concrete issue resolution process as soon as practicable.

The health and safety of our staff, contractors, clients and visitors is our primary consideration. Neither the scope nor diversity of work, nor the size and spread of our company should be allowed to cloud this focus. Our health and safety standards should always be maintained while pursuing increased profit and productivity.

In the event that a work place injury or illness should occur Tom Ryan Concreting is committed to providing access to occupational rehabilitation and will actively, encourage and facilitate the earliest possible return to work.

Regular safety audits of equipment, plant, vehicles and work places and the implementation of effective controls will enhance the company objectives to achieve the highest standards in quality by the safest and most efficient methods.

Regular discussions on Occupational, Health and Safety between management and staff will ensure a company wide collaborative informed approach.

A combination of commitment, training and education, monitoring and continuous improvement will ensure a safer working environment.

At Tom Ryan Concrete our aim is to make sure that every day is a success in the form of ensuring that all our staff end their days work with no injuries.  With all of the companies procedures in place this should be a given. As with everything there will always be that element of uncertainty and all LTIs will be lodged as required and the appropriate actions taken.
